Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need experience to become a member of a project?

You do not need prior experience to become a team member in one of our student-led projects. One of the missions of AdTech is to provide UC Davis students with experience in engineering projects.

2. Is this organization only for STEM and engineering majors?

No. Any and all majors are welcome to join AdTech. We value having a diverse group of students in our organization because we believe that we can have more innovative thinking with different perspectives.

3. I have an idea for a project, how can I share it with the club?

We at AdTech are always open to hearing about project ideas from our members and anyone outside of the club. You can share your ideas with an officer or submit a project proposal through this link:

4. How long will it take for a project to be completed?

Teams will make their schedules based on their availability from school. Everything that students develop and design is on their own time, so each project will progress at different rates. Some of the projects can progress faster than others depending on the needs and requirements that the client requested. Please be mindful that students are working hard and dedicating a lot of effort to help improve the quality of our clients’ lives.

5.  What will be the contribution of AdTech to its members?

We at AdTech want to help our members develop the necessary communication and technical skills to succeed in industry, so we will be offering the opportunity for our members to be apart of student-led projects where they will learn about the engineering design process. We also offer participation in skill development projects and industry tours to our members.

6. What makes AdTech different from other organizations?

We are a project-based organization that is focused on creating medical devices that will help improve the lives of people in our community. We want to provide our members with experience in developing engineering solutions through our projects and workshops. What makes us unique is that we do not build to compete in competitions, we build to help and improve people’s lives.
